What bothers me about the upcoming election is that before anyone knows the platform, some have already decided to support a certain candidate.
One thing is very clear. The media and the corporations do not want John Edwards to be our next president. At first I liked Obama but upon reading more about him, I see he voted for THREE crazy judges. I realize none of them are going to be perfect, but I see Obama going more and more toward corporations and the little DC clubs. Hillary is already a part of it all, mixed up with Murdoch, for heaven sakes.
I really resent the media playing up their corporate favorites and ignoring Edwards. That right there tells me that probably Edwards is the one they do not want to see us support. They refuse to talk about his platform and berate him any chance they can.
Worse is that I see democrats doing the same thing. Edwards did and Edwards has said over and over he agonizes over that vote. Does Obama agonize over his sucking up with the liquid coal corporations and his other so-called bi-partisan acts? NOOOOO, AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE PAYING ATTENTION AND THEY ARE SUPPORTING HIM WITHOUT FEARS ABOUT THESE THINGS.
What worries me is that I am afraid many people jumped on the Obama bandwagon before paying attention to his connections to lobbyists and corporations. After this bush adminstration and even some democrats selling us out to corporate $$$$, that is the last thing we need and I know all of us agree on that point.
Anyway, just my 2 cents worth.
